Old Villa of Santa Maria del Puerto del Principe
Located in the city of Camaguey, this was one of the first seven villas founded by the Spaniards in the 16th century.
Ignacio Agramonte Museum
This local heroe was Major General of the Liberation Army and was born in this place on December 23, 1841. He was involved in more than 50 fights in which he had overwhelming victories over the Spanish forces that were always greater in number and weapons. His greatest deed was the historical rescue of the Brigadier General Julio Sanguily. The museum shows many episodes of the life of the Major General, Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz. According to the oldest documents still preserved, Agramonte’s family already lived in the house before 1828. You can see documents, testimonies, and personal belongings of the hero from Camaguey.
